ENGLISH CLASS.- WEEK 3

MONDAY


Good morning kids.

Today’s work is: Answer: What is the environment? Why is important to keep it clean?

Check the video “What the environment is and how to keep it clean”.

After watching the video:

Spelling notebook. Say and write some elements of the environment.
Answer: What things does   the environment provides us? How can we keep it clean?

Write on your Spelling Notebook: danger, endanger.
Answer: What root do these words share? Observe that danger is a noun, and endanger is a verb meaning “to put in danger”. Use each one in a sentence.

Write on your spelling Notebook that a word can be either a verb or a noun .
Read the contexts to figure them out.

Answer: What is their mom’s job? Review the   forms of have (have, has, don’t have, doesn’t have) and can`t.

Grammar Notebook. We use have/has to with a main verb to talk about obligations or necessary actions. We use don’t /doesn’t have to with a main verb for actions that are not necessary: We have to check the homework. We don’t have to go to school!
We use can’t for prohibition: You can’t damage the environment.

Today’s work is: Listen and check. Track 63. Play track 63 in three sections , one corresponding to each picture, listen and follow.
Identify predictions.

Read the story. Pause the reading at the end of each section to ask comprehension questions.

The main character in a story often solves one or more problems.
Answer: What problems does the character face? How does the character solve each problem? Why are the sea turtles on the beach?

Video “Moana” Where do they need to go? What do they use as a guide? What confuse Shelley?

Answer: What is the speaker’s main point?

Play the track again, listen, read the instructions and write the content of the box about the salamander. Play the first part of track 65, listen and write.
Answer : Is the elephant an amphibian or a mammal?(Mammal)
Is the salamander an amphibian or a mammal?( amphibian)

Answer: Which animal is Luke’s group supporting?

Identify one reason Luke’s group is supporting this animal. Read the instructions aloud. Play the track again.
Think about Polar bears look amazing; some people are interested in the Artic; the sea ice melting; life is hard for polar bears.
