We have  to  review Grammar, Present Perfect with Ever/Never

The adverbs ever and never are often used with the present perfect to ask and answer questions about experiences.

Ever is used with questions:

Have you ever held a snake? Yes, I have.

With negative statements, we use never:

I  have never held a snake.

These adverbs are placed before the past participle.
